After another few weeks of development we are happy to introduce first version of our Blog Editor. All registered members have now a chance to post their food blogs here. Please let us know if you encounter any problems when using the integrated FCK editor. You can leave us a message here.

Each of you has a dedicated server space for user files, you are welcome to include pictures in your blog posts. For future versions we plan to include option of Flash and other media files publishing. But for now, we only support pictures.

It is wise to use image thumbnails in your blog posts, since they save the limited screen space, plus they are of a smaller file size, which means it will take less time to load. When clicking on the thumbnail, the full size image pops up. Since it can be difficult for people who have never used the FCK editor, we have put together step-by-step instructions for you.

How to use thumbnails in your blog posts

Thumbnail Demo

<- Click the image on the left to see the effect

To create thumbnails like this, follow the instructions bellow:

1. Firstly resize your picture, no dimension should exceed 1000 pixels.

2. Make a smaller thumbnail you will show in your post directly.

3. In the Blog Editor click the Image button in toolbar:

4. Image Properties window pops up. Click the Browse Server button to open browser dialog.

5. Here you can create folders for each of your blogs, to keep the folder structure well-arranged.

6. Use the Choose File and Upload buttons to upload both your thumbnail and full size picture.

7. When uploaded, click on the thumbnail picture in the list.

8. Now, back in Image Properties window, navigate to the Link tab.

9. Make sure you have the Image resource type selected (upper left corner).

10. Select the full size image from the file list. Now you have set it as the link target.

11. Click OK in the Image Properties window and you are done.

12. You can verify what you have done by checking the Preview button bellow the editor itself
